HOW DO I POINT MY DOMAIN NAME AT ANY WEBSITE?

You first need to get the DNS parameters of your hosting company. Then you need to login to MySSL® and go to your Dashboard.

Once there, click on My Domain Names on the left panel, then click on Registered to see the list of all the domain names that you registered on your account.

Select the domain you wish to edit, click on the corresponding Actions button on the domain line, and then click on View Domain.

Click on the green button Settings on the top right corner to access all your domain name parameters.

 

How can I add an IPV6 record (AAAA Record) to my Domain Name?

Click on the tab DNS Settings on the left. You will see new tabs displayed. Select the tab AAAA.

Click on the blue Add button. A new line will appear with 2 fields : Subdomain and IPv6 Address.

Fill in the fields with your details. Remember :

  • a subdomain usually contains your domain name and a prefix, such as mail.ssl247.co.uk, or blog.ssl247.co.uk.
  • an IPv6 Address is made of number separated by points, such as XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX (can contain 1, 2 or 3 numbers between each points).

When you are done, just click on save changes, and allow time for our servers to process your request.

 

How do I set up a CNAME record on my domain name?

From your domain settings (see first part of the text to access the settings), click on the DNS setting tab, then on CNAME.

Click on the blue Add button. A new line will appear with 2 fields : Subdomain and Host name.

Fill in the fields with your details. Remember :

  • a subdomain usually contains your domain name and a prefix, such as mail.ssl247.co.uk, or blog.ssl247.co.uk.
  • a Hostname is a Fully Qualified Domain Name, so it must include a domain name and an extension, such as ssl247.co.uk.

When you are done, just click on save changes, and allow time for our servers to process your request.

 

How do I set up a TXT record on my domain name?

From your domain settings (see first part of the text to access the settings), click on the DNS setting tab, then on TXT.

Click on the blue Add button. A new line will appear with 2 fields : Subdomain and Text.

Fill in the fields with your details. Remember :

  • a subdomain usually contains your domain name and a prefix, such as mail.ssl247.co.uk, or blog.ssl247.co.uk.
  • a TXT record can be any kind of text.

When you are done, just click on save changes, and allow time for our servers to process your request.

 

How do I set up a SRV record on my domain?

From your domain settings (see first part of the text to access the settings), click on the DNS setting tab, then on SRV.

Click on the blue Add button. A new line will appear with 5 fields : Subdomain , Priority, Weight, Port and Hostname.

Fill in the fields with your details. Remember :

  • a subdomain usually contains your domain name and a prefix, such as mail.ssl247.co.uk, or blog.ssl247.co.uk.
  • the priority is a number. Lower value means higher priority.
  • weight represents a relative weight for records with the same priority
  • port is the TCP or UDP port number on which the service can be be found
  • a Hostname is a Fully Qualified Domain Name, so it must include a domain name and an extension, such as ssl247.co.uk

When you are done, just click on save changes, and allow time for our servers to process your request.

 

How do I set my domain name to show my website without the www. prefix?

From your domain settings (see first part of the text to access the settings), click on the DNS setting tab, then on A.

Click on the blue Add button. A new line will appear with 2 fields : Subdomain and IP Address.

Fill in the fields with your details. Remember :

  • the subdomain here will be www.
  • an IP Address is made of number separated by points, such as XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX (can contain 1, 2 or 3 numbers between each points).

When you are done, just click on save changes, and allow time for our servers to process your request.
